Apple Leather is an OEKO-TEX certified premium bio-based fabric made using apple waste from the fruit juice and compote industry.
The apple by-product comes from Bolzano in Italy, one of the world's largest apple-producing regions. Due to the shear scale, it is faced with a significant amount of waste. The leather up-cycles this unused apple to create a material with considerably reduced environmental impact.
Lining: Premium microfibre suede (made from partly recycled polyester) & 100% recycled polyester oxford lining.

Even better, actually, since it took a while for the right-side card holders to loosen a bit and become more functional (my only small complaint, and now a non-issue). The stitching is perfect, the green color is rich, and I get compliments on it regularly. I love telling people that it's made of apples and not cows! Really happy with my purchase!
